Morse code, is it any good?
Some years ago Samuel Morse invented a method of sending messages to
other people using sound waves, using dots and dashes. This method was
proved to be successful in Many ways from the radio equipment in houses,
clubs and even cabins and radio rooms on Ships
Where even the flashing of lights was using termed as Morse code, as the lenth
of the flash could be determined so it would look as it sounded. long flash for dash and short for
dot.
Even today Morse code is used a lot, and is the one way you can almost be sure to make contact
with a fellow ham. Morse is the best method to make contact specially through fog and bad weather as almost nothing stops
it, where natural voice can soon be lost if the conditions are poor.
